Ariza Expects Better Synergy with Partners to Continue Develop Jakarta as a Global City

Jakarta is preparing for further development into a resilient and sustainable global city by encouraging the improvement of Jakarta's public transportation system, providing decent and affordable housing for the community, realizing zero-emission programs, and so on.

The statement was conveyed by Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria while attending the opening of the XI Regional Conference of the Jakarta Indonesian National Contractors Association (MUSDA XI Gapensi) at Opus Grand Ballroom, Lobby Level The Tribrata, South Jakarta, Thursday (5/19).

He hoped that the Jakarta Government's partners as collaborators in development could help realize Jakarta as a global city by increasing synergy and cooperation.

"Jakarta is a city that has good infrastructure in the fields of transportation, health, education, optical network (communication), and trade. The existing infrastructure is the result of the development process of Jakarta for decades. Various infrastructure developments in Jakarta can be realized due to good cooperation with various parties, one of which is GAPENSI Jakarta," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

The stakeholders or partners of the Government in development could certainly take advantage of good opportunities and increase their contribution to the development of Jakarta in the future.

"We also hope that the further developments can have a greater impact on the welfare of Jakarta people and advance the city we love," he added.

Regarding the plan to relocate the state capital, the Government has begun to determine the direction of Jakarta City's development after no longer being the capital. One of them is contained in the Regional Development Plan for 2023-2026.

"Furthermore, the Government and central government are also preparing a Bill on the Special Region of Jakarta," he asserted.

The Deputy Governor also conveyed his appreciation for the successful implementation of MUSDA XI GAPENSI Jakarta in 2022 and congratulated the elected BPD GAPENSI Jakarta members for the 2022-2027 term of service. He hoped it could realize a program that provided benefits and welfare for Jakarta people.

"Whoever is elected, we hope Musda can improve the internal solidity and build a good collaboration between the Government and GAPENSI Jakarta to support economic recovery and encourage the participation of GAPENSI members through construction service business sector according to the announced theme," he closed.

This event was also attended by the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) General Chairperson Diana Dewi, BPP GAPENSI Chairperson Iskandar Z. Hartawi; BPD GAPENSI Jakarta Chairperson Gibson Nainggolan, and others.
